Educators connected by a shared vision and purpose of educational equity and justice thrive in the field. The University of Buffalo Teacher Residency Consortium (UBTRC) is dedicated to supporting a culture of collaborative professionalism in the local teaching community as part of the goal of ensuring a more equitable school experience for all students. The consortium supports residents, alumni, mentors, faculty, school leaders and administrators, and community members to collaborate on inquiry-based, data-driven investigations of real-time instruction and engage in activities designed to facilitate the development of a culture of collaborative professionalism. The consortium supports educators’ professional learning and growth so that all children have the schools they need and deserve.
To do this, the UBTRC facilitates the following:
